There's not necessarily an unfair advantage to any one player (although if one of the singles finalists wins his doubles quarter and one loses, there will be a difference in their court time) ... but who on earth would make any tennis player, let alone a junior, play at least six matches, and possibly eight, in three days?
It's also quite unfair to Broady and Horansky. Both of them could use the doubles points to get them towards the year-end top 10. For them potentially to lose the doubles points because the scheduling is forcing their partners to play so many matches is rather harsh.

It would actually be 10 matches in 4 days if either Golding or Vesely reach the doubles final.
excellent for george. him and thiem can win this whole thing. great partnership. not upset for ollie and liam. another match for vesely whilst ollie can rest up.
So 2 successive junior grand slam finalists. Hope Oli can go one step further though.
Laura, Heather, Liam & now Oli, thinks are on the up for British tennis, thats for sure! As a side note, do you feel the boys get inspiration from Heather and Laura performing so well in the main draw?

I think the boys probably get their inspiration from Andy. They hit with him in practice and can see what he did after he won the U.S. They'll be hoping to emulate him.
Hmm I always think being the same age would inspire me more than just the same country, though of course Murray is a source of inspiration too I'm sure.

It's great to see
Re your side note I was just going to say that I think much of the inspiration for the boys comes from what seems a healthy and friendly rivalry among themselves, supportive of each other but wanting to also show what they can do themselves.
I can see that Andy is probably some inspiration as well. Anyway, I think each other and Andy much more significant than Heather and Laura's performances in the main draw.

True, though Murray hasnt changed really in the lsat few years, yet all of a sudden the juniors are really stepping it up on the boys side. I DEFINITELY believe its too strange to be coincidence that its when the girls are playin well too.
George and Dominic went down 7-6(8), 6-4 in the doubles semi.
Annoying I notice that Oli plays first match at 12:00 local time today.
FFS, Oli has played 7 matches in the last three days, Vesely has played 8. You would think that any half reasonable person would give them a later start today so that they could have a bit of a lie in. Organisers of this event are ******* of the highest order. And yes I know it probably suits Oli as he only played twice yesterday while Vesely played 3 times but that really isn't the point.
