I'm David and I started this forum and the BT.net site way back in 2005 when Andy was still a pretty much unknown teenager. Some of you guys will remember me, I don't post as much as I used to mainly because I'm now a sports journalist but I still read pretty much daily.
Just to say, I'm very, very sorry to hear about the disappearance of the AM.com forum. Seems a very strange decision from Andy's management, I hope they have the decency to give you a full explanation at some point.
And to echo what Steven has already said, you're more than welcome to join us over here and get some Andy discussion going in this section ! Same goes for your competitions, I'm more than happy to start a separate section on the board for those if you want.
Obviously the focus of this forum is a little broader, as in we follow all GB tennis from right down to the futures events and the British Tour and the juniors. I know plenty of you guys are regular readers here anyway and follow the likes of Heather Watson, Bally, Boggo, Wardy etc all the time.
Also, I know some of you are worried about losing your blogs. Well I've been planning for a while to start up another front page for this site and provide a section where people can stick up blogs and diaries from tournaments. We have plenty of people here who go to watch futures and challengers around the UK and generally write us a report. It would be nice to have a collection of all that stuff. So, if you still have your blogs saved on your computer, once I've got the new page up, you're more than welcome to send them my way and I'll stick them up for you...
Thanks David - guess you might remember me and some mad days (and driving) from way back to days at Davis Cup. Your help much appreciated - and well done on the journalism.
We might well end up on a separate forum but I guess I no longer have a say in that so it'll be up to the 'people' to decide/sort it out.
David, thank you so much - I remember you, we met at the DC tie at Wimbly in the Rose & Crown! I think we all have the same aims, ie British tennis players to dominate the rankings!!! Thanks agan for giving us room on here :)
oh dear firstly thank you very much for your kind hospitality secondly are you sure ? there are loads of am commers who love every level of tennis, but then there's folk like me im not sure BT is ready for my tennis banality
Hey guys, no worries it's good to have you all around here !
Rondun - haha well it might as well be tbh, he does all the work round here these days. Although as Count Zero will tell you, the steven is actually a robot - the 'statistical test entity verification.....' - a formidable piece of software for generating tennis stats.
Thanks David - and apologies - I always thought this was Steven's site!
LOL no, I always make sure people know it's all Sheddie's fault if they ask or if they seem to be getting the wrong impression! It's not even true that I do all or even most of the work around here these days - it's always been a hugely co-operative and friendly effort, and even the bits I do on my own (like the GB top 25 tables) wouldn't be nearly as good without people providing info and picking up on my mistakes so I can correct them.
Actually, it's nice to see Sheddie posting again - I'm only 1000 posts or so away from overtaking him as the member with the most posts and that would be embarrassing even if he did rack up his first 17000 in a much shorter time than I will!

The synthetic skin uprgade has allowed steven's integration into soicety to be much smoother than it othweise might have been. although as clearly seen there are still some behavioural flaws.
@ Kinght. Sorry, theres limits progamming can achieve :)

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am beginning to rerlax now more of the ex-am.commers are finding their way here. At least Sally had Braehead sorted before the plug was pulled.
Pat, the mods have set up a temporary forum, andymurray.forumotion.com, and Speedy has set up the FTM on there, so that we can carry on with it as usual.
