(AM.com) bubble gap competition - cincinnati - Deadline 4pm Mon 15th

Apparently the fire is heading this way. Everybody else has been evacuated but I'm not leaving!

Bear with me while I try to save a bit of the forest for posterity....

Rules for entry:
You get 1 point for every number you are away from the bubble gap - lowest score wins.
Pick a different number to everyone else.
No editing of guesses.
In the event of a tie, (s)he who enters first, wins!

Deadline is 16:00 UK time on Monday

Good luck!

The aim, as always, is to predict what the bubble gap will be at the end of the Cincinnati masters -

the bubble gap is currently Andy's points minus the guy in 9th placed (on "the bubble") points: 3730 - 1855 = 1875

To help you make your guess, the points available for Cincy are as follows:

Win 1000
R/U 600
SF 360
QF 180
R16 90
R32 45
R64 10

So, for example, if you think Andy will reach the SF then his points would be 3730 + 360 = 4090.
Then you need to guess how many points the guy in 9th place will have (maybe you think it'll be Delpo with say 2030 points) then the bubble gap would be 4090 - 2030 = 2060.
So your guess for the comp would be 2060.

If you can't be bothered to work it out just have a guess - pick a number.
The theoretical highest it can be is 2875 if Andy wins in Cincy and nobody else passes the current bubble.

The absolute lowest it could be is roughly 1190 with the worst cases in Montreal & Cincy.
So have a guess between 2875 and 1190, the better you think Andy will do, the higher the number.

Remember the remaining matches in Montreal may affect the bubble gap going into Cincy - I think the the worst case scenario could reduce it from 1875 to 1650

Right that worked.
good start
