Oh dear. I too worry that Mr Murray's response is always "I must work harder. I must get fitter." He works hard. He is fit. He's got the talent. But there's clearly something else he needs to fix. I wouldn't presume to know what it is ... but someone must! I did think, as per an earlier post, that his nothing-until-Canada strategy was a bit high-risk. Anyway, maybe now he can watch everyone else wear themselves out in Canada and then he can do something amazing at Cincinnati ....
To be fair, Anderson is #35 and is a darn sight harder to beat than Pospisil. Davydenko is right out of form. Anderson is very likely to cause an upset when his serve is on - I remember he put Djokovic out of an early round a year or possibly two ago.
I can't help but notice that yesterday was an extraordinarily good day for Serbia and Croatia!
Odd about Andy's loss, but he has always always thrown in the occasional rubbish performance. I think that is just the way he is. Disappointing none the less

Trouble these days is Andy throws in rather more than the occasional rubbish performance and some are really rubbish for a player of his ability.
In times past, Andy was comparatively a real model of consistency.
Yes, that was quite a day for Croatia and Serbia. I'm sure they are mutually happy for each other Why is Dodig not Dodic ?
I presume, Indy, because that is just how the surname (pronounced dodik) evolved. It is apparently a pretty common Croat surname: see here for further info. No sign of "Dodic" there...
Andy Murray, to borrow from Churchill (talking about Russia in, I think, 1939), "a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma", at least as far as his thought processes go. It's just a pity that there appears to be no one on the scene at the moment who, like old Winny, thinks he (or she) may have a key (in the case of Russia, Russian national interest)! Clearly, merely working harder in training after a bad defeat is not in Andy's career interest, though sorting out his head may be.

Much like not everyone in the UK has a name ending in -son or starting Mc- or Fitz-, for example, not everyone in Croatia has a name that ends -ic, though the majority of them do. There isn't a Croatian christian name anything like "Dod" I don't think, hence no Dodic, though Dodic is a surname in Serbia.
