I just about crashed the car after listening to Phil Tuffnel speaking about Murray's chances whilst he was comentating on the Eng v SL cricket ODI yesterday.

He was asked who he thought might win Wimbledon...

Tuffers replied: "Oooh I think Federer will win it..."

Q: Dont you rate Murray?

Tuffers: "Yeah he is a top bloke and a great player but dont think he will win"

Q: Dont you want Murray to win?

Tuffers: "Of course it would be great for English Tennis...."

Then they both immediately went back to the cricket commentating without a blush...I just about died of laughter....and thats when i nearly crashed the car...

I love Tuffers...he is a good bloke...but does he really think Murray is English? LOL!!!

What's the problem ?   smile

It would be great for English tennis, Welsh tennis, Scottish tennis, good for the whole of Britain.

In times to come England might be able to get a couple of players into the Davis Cup team  wink

Irrespective of what Tuffers meant, he was right, wasn't he? Murray represents GBR and England is a part of it, so it can only be good for English tennis.


You can also say stuff like "if Murray wins Wimbledon, it will be good for Bradford tennis" and so on. And that doesn't mean Murray has to be from Bradford!

murray has won many titles and really he is a great tennis player and i love to watch his playing and i am hopeful murray will win Wimbledon and it will good for the England because many murray spotters love him a lot and want to see him as a winner
