Great result - although neither played as well as I have seen before Liam was better than Jason on the big points. There were a few fairly close calls which neither questioned, probably because of their lack of experience in using HawkEye.

Last Brit finalist was Miles Kasiri (lost to Gael Monfils in 2004) whilst last winner was Stanley Matthews (Junior that is!) who won way back in 1962.

Once again I was really, really impressed with Liam. His mentality on court is just so good for a 17 year old.

He kept being aggressive and playing his shots on big points and didn't dwell on setbacks or missed opportunities. He clearly has the nerve for the big time. It is so good to see a young Brit with great mental strength.
