zootennis asking who the commentators were on that match - I recognised both voices but my mind's gone blank on the main commentator's name (?)
Mark Petchey
That was the name I knew. LOL I meant the other one.
I don't know whether this is still relevant, but I can't see any clarification in other posts. Mark Petchey was the main commentator and Paul Hand his co-commentator as The Knight surmised.
tough test tommorow, not sure about the favourite, hopefully liams not fatigued
If Liam can match yesterdays performance he has a great chance, if he drops off he will be in big trouble.
He didn't show any signs of fatigue during his doubles match and looks to have pretty good stamina but I guess if this goes the distance it could be a factor.
Kubler of course is a former junior world no 1 and in seniors made a futures final and four futures semi finals last year, beating quite a few top 500 players.
However, he really hasn't seemingly played that much at all in the last 8 months, junior or senior, with no singles activity since March. Apparently has had quite serious knee injuries.
Last week at Roehampton he only played doubles, as was said in that thread perhaps easing himself back in.
But he does seem to have played pretty well this week. After a very tight opening match, he of course beat Oli in R2 and has won his following two matches very convincingly.
So it does look that even if Kubler is not back to his very best, Liam will still have to play to a very good level again to win.
