At the end of the Federer match I cheekily got Tsonga to autograph the page in the programme with Federers biography :-p

Straight sets win.

Not perfect but more than good enough

6-3, 6-4, 6-4

So as we all expected it's Murray v Nadal in the semi final.

If Andy can win this I like his chances big time in the final now that Federer is gone. I remain unconvinced by Djokovic as a grass court player and if Tsonga can reproduce his form from today he will have every chance of beating him.

I'm starting to get fed up with Murray coming up against this Nadal chap at Wimbledon...

I had to get some delayed chores done when the match finished, but I still have a all over my face.

Another efficient performance from Andy.  Pretty good for the first two sets and maybe lost focus a little bit in the 3rd although I thought Lopez did raise his game and Andy was maybe a bit distracted by his niggle.

Was a bit disappointed by Lopez, particularly in the first two sets, but Andy played him well and playing a returner like that when you are used to so many free points must get frustrating.

So, it's Nadal for the 3rd time at Wimbledon and the 7th time in all in a Grand Slam. So far he has beaten Nadal in the US and Austrralian Opens but of course not at Wimbledon.   Wouild help if Andy hadn't been in Nadal's half 14 times out of the last 15 Grand Slams  disbelief

Anyway, I certainly think Nadal is beatable this year, but that's for another day.

I certainly think Rafa is more beatable than last year but I still think Andy will just fall short.
I think Rafa in 5. Great opportunity for Andy though and a little bit of extra inspiration could see him home.

Has anyone managed to buy tickets through the Ticketmaster 24 hour release? I did get some last week but no luck today so just wondered what is the latest time after 9am that anyone has been able to bag a couple and also if there are any added throughout the day. I see that it still gives you the option of finding tickets for today as well as tomorrow. On Sunday I tried at various times during the day just out of curiosity. The first Monday I was on the site at exactly 9am and had to search 3 times before I was successful.

Centre court OOP is already out for tomorrow. No surprises, Andy and Rafa is the second match.

So, who's going to win today ?    I've given up on trying to predict.  It's a match to me that can certainly go either way, and as to making a choice, I just don't trust how much influence my heart ( both in looking at good aspects and fearing other aspects ) is having over my head in trying to assess things.

For instance, I know it's supposedly just a niggle, and yes players supposedly so much of the time are carrying niggles, but I can't help worrying a bit about that little injury Andy picked up on Wednesday. It slightly spoiled for me what seemed almost a perfect day for Andy.  And they were certainly still publicly doing some work on it yesterday during his light practice session.  Really hope it doesn't effect him or indeed play on his mind at all.

Re injuries in general, I read Andy wasn't too enamoured with Alan Partridge ( sorry, I mean Garry Richardson ) putting it to him post-match that he was maybe a hypochondriac.  Andy, I wouldn't really bother about him, you've probably seen enough of him to know the guy's a bit of an idiot.

But anyway, in case others were of similar thoughts, he pointed out in an interview in today's Gruniard that if you watch a lot of tennis you see how much players are getting treatment on court.  He said they did a study in Miami and Federer and him were the least for getting trainers out and pulling out of matches, by quite a long way.

So, anyway, I just don't know at all who's going to win.  But I know who I so much want to win.  Go, Andy !
