Week 23 - ATP 250 - Queens (Grass)

Assuming Andy does turn up to play here he has an okay draw.

R1: Bye

R2: Malisse or Bachinger

R3: Probably Tipsarevic

QF: probably Cilic

SF: probably Roddick (Verdasco also in that Quarter)

Whose Christian name, the LTA would have us believe, is Olivier!

Well done, LTA. You'd think a name like Xavier would be memorable, wouldn't you?

Well, anybody on this board would, but I presume that the reasoning of whoever drafted the Queen's round-up report for the LTA web site was that, if you're a tennis player, you're male & you're Belgian, your Christian name is either Christophe or Olivier & he/she then plumped for Olivier! wink

The weather isn't looking that good in west London today. Pretty breezy and

I'd be very surprised if we don't have some heavy downpours cry

Cold, windy, and a good chance of rain. Wouldnt have it any other way for Ady's first match on grass. :)

Ok, good chance of rain was ok, actual rain isn't.

6-3, 5-7, 6-3

A mixture of good and bad. Should have broke at 5-5 in the second set and then threw in a sloppy service game himself. Can complain too much given that

a) it is his first match on grass this year
b) he hasn't played anything like decent in anything below a Masters Series for 18 months

c)it must hard to get motivated for a 250 the week after being in a Slam semi

How far do you think Murray should be winning this week? I'd be pretty pleased with a run to the semis!

To be honest I really want to see him win it. He has only won 2 tournaments in the last 18 months. He needs to get back into the habit of winning things.

The Muzz v Tipsy match is second on court again. Probably about 2pm, weather permitting

H2H is 3:3; usually has tricky matches against Tipsy.erm.gif
