Sadly George is broken to love, and his long run of main draw defeats (juniors + Futures) continues. At least this time he was very competitive, unlike most of the others, which may augur well for the grass season - which should suit George more

(Q) Dimitar Kuzmanov (BUL) v (4) Oliver Golding (GBR)

This qualifier is a class up from Patino and could prove tricky, with an ATP ranking inside 1000, and having double bagelled a hapless French wildcard. Oli won in 3 at the Eddie Herr though. The other top seed in Oli's quarter, Tiago Fernandes has been taken to a third set by Filip Peliwo.
