By contrast to Peter Ashley and Joshua Sapwell, National under 14 champion Alannah Griffin cruised through qualifying, losing just one game. She joins Katie Boulter, impressive in the recent Bournemouth 10K, and Beth Askew in the main draw

Don't get many good tennis players from Liechtenstein.

(probably a stupid comment, given how small it is, you likely don't get many good anyones from Liechtenstein. Although they are generally very rich.)

 True. All I can think of is Stefanie Voigt who has been hanging around the top 300 for the past few years.... but otherwise...

Wikipedia actually has a page on Lechtenstein tennis players .... Stephanie Vogt is all they can come up with too (was a top 5 junior). Von Deichmann is the only ranked junior, but to have one is decent considering that the entire population wouldn't even half-fill Wembley.

Unfortunately for us Liechtenstein's finest was far too strong for Beth, and British interest ends until next week
