Both Peter Ashley and Joshua Sapwell have qualified for this, the first of two Turkish Grade 4s, with a lot of difficulty

Can Cetinel (TUR) v (4) Clay Crawford (GBR)

(Q) Joshua Sapwell (GBR) v (2) Durukan Durmus (TUR)

Considering Josh scraped through his first qualifying match 1-6 7-5 6-3 against an unheralded Turk that's a major improvement to dump someone in the top 250

Great news from the Gallipoli campaign as despite only 2 quarter-finalists we now have 3 semifinalists confuse

The ITF decided to reverse Peter's quarterfinal result, and he celebrated by thumping a well-known Brit-basher. Beware of the one non-Brit semifinalist - a Belgian who beat Josh at Nottingham, and will be looking to avenge defeat by Peter in the Eddie Herr final

QF

(Q) Peter Ashley (GBR) d. (6) Artur Completo (POR) 6-3 6-0

(4) Clay Crawford (GBR) d. (7) Cem Ilkel (TUR) 6-3 6-3

(Q) Joshua Sapwell (GBR) d. (5) Akhmed Djamal Mukhamed (UZB) 6-0 6-2

SF

Clement Geens (BEL) v (Q) Peter Ashley (GBR)

 (4) Clay Crawford (GBR) v (Q) Joshua Sapwell (GBR)

Yes, really good, and his first match against a Turk in qualifying was  1 - 6  7 - 5  6 - 3  !

Anyway, great week for Josh after his relatively slow start in ITF tournaments.  Certainly made his mark now.
