Another Muzza special style backhand from Oli brings up a set point, but that and a second are saved and it's 3-6 5-5* ... I haven't had much chance to watch this set but the commentators are saying the Brit is playing much better than in the 1st.

From what I saw the big difference was that Horansky could vary things with the short backhand slice much more effectively than Oli. A decent standard but winning singles titles is a good habit, and something Oli needs to cultivate.
Well, that half-hearted fist-pump, accompanied by a polite "C'mon", always cracked me up ...
At 36, Tim is never going to play full-time. The week-in, week-out physical demands are too great. But it's perfectly possible for an oldster to be competitive in a one-off.
Remember that "Superset" thing from a few years back (October 2004, to be precise). I can well remember the 45-year old Jonny Mac schooling the 17-year old Andy Murray (then ranked 455) 6-1. And the 36-year old Boris Becker competed on even terms with Greg Rusedski, who was ranked at 81.
Maybe choosing Tim in the team it might send out some unfortunate messages, but, hey, isn't winning the match the most important thing?

Classy - Oli blames his 14 grand slam winning doubles partner for defeat (more or less) - in response to Laura telling him not to moan about delays at Heathrow when he had got to play doubles with Sampras:
oli_golding: "@laurarobson5 true, although he put in minimal effort lol"
The thing is, I believe him - it reminds me of the time Boggo played dubs with Safin at Queen's & Marat stood like a lemon at the net while Alex won the match on his own
