QF: Dan Evans WR 400 defeated (WC) James Marsalek UNR by 7-6(5) 5-7 6-3
James threw away a 4-1 lead in the second set, Dan served for the match at 5-4 (& had MPs), but was eventually broken twice in succession to hand James the set. The young man seems to have put up quite a fight!

With Evo and Josh reaching the semis here, on currently accumulated points for the 21/03 ranking list, our Davis Cup squad reps Baker and Boggo have slipped to GB No 8 and 9, both on 97 points.
Wouldn't have seen that a liitle while ago.

Bad day at the office today. Was closer than the scoreline would suggest, he just won all the big points, had a chance to get back into it at 3-1 two break back points but he came out with two big serves. Struggled to get into the match to be honest, felt a little ropey before i went on.
Doubles i felt i played really well. partner wasnt as sharp as he would have hoped.
I got the nod for a wildcard next week for my efforts so hopefully build on a good week. Need to start pushing on now, ive put in the hard work for long enough, time to get some rewards.
And Evo wraps up the match by taking the third set by 6-3 (5-7 7-5 6-3). Josh did get back into the match briefly by breaking him in the third game, but couldn't push on from there.
