George plays first up (midnight GMT) on court 19 with doubles on fourth. The bottom half of the draw has been blown open, but George is in the top half, where most of the seeds have progressed.
"...during one of Isaacs tennis matches he received some particularly nasty and biased treatment at the hands of a chair umpire."
Which is an absolutely classic 'always the victim' line. Hear this type of rubbish from lots of sports players/fans.
And personally I can understand why the LTA wouldn't want someone representing them who has "a cheeky sense of humour" - because this often translates into qualities of a less desirable nature.
This however is all conjecture and I am not even beginning to suggest I know the character of either the player or the father. Just my initial thoughts on a heated facebook message... (As we have learned in the past, you never know who is reading.. )
I am Isaac's father.
'Always the victim' He has bought a successful discrimination case against the LTA. There is only one reason why the LTA do not choose him to represent them. He's Black.
At 13 he has had to stand up to an organisation that racially discriminated against him and others.
As much as they have tried to stop him he is still there. Currently number one for his age.
At 14 he's flying the flag at the Australian open. The LTA ignored him again.
As far as underdog stories go. He is probably the biggest underdog in sporting history and yet with their typical sense of fair play many people in the sport choose to defend the LTA. What's wrong with this picture.
The LTA claim I am damaging British Tennis.
But what is more damaging. An organisation whose leadership discriminate against very talented black children. Or the person who brings this behaviour to light.
