Obviously no one wanted to see Nadal go out because of injury but it presents Andy with a glorious opportunity. Obviously Ferrer is a very good player but if on a hard court you have to like Andy's chances.
It was probably a good thing to be pushed to a fourth set today. Sometimes progress can be too easy.
Andy should beat Ferrer if anywhere near his Melzer form and I'm beginning to regret not taking the 5/1 odds about him winning the whole thing yesterday.
A lot of people like to watch them. My daughter does (shudder - where did I go wrong in her upbringing?) Actually I liked them the first time I saw them - it gets boring after that.
Thats an interesting call. I'd still go with the Djoker eventhough there's not a huge amount to choose between the two. I just think Andy would be more comfortable playing against his good mate, and Novak has said he would like to see Andy lifting a GS title sooner rather than later. Fed would still provide the greater mental obstacle IMO.
