His ranking was already going to jump next week to at least sixth when the 1992 births drop out.
Current points: 676.25 Gain from doubles (80-50)/4 =7.5 Points adjusted for doubles 683.75 Last year's points in same tournament displaced: minus 80 Adjusted total before adding singles points won: 603.75
Points if he loses the semi-final 603.75+120 = 723.75 Points if he loses in the final 603.75+180 = 783.75 Points if he wins the tournament 603.75+250 = 853.75
George Morgan has 691.25 and that won't change next week, so Golding will move up to world number 5 and British No. 1.
Mate Pavic has 771.25 and that won't change next week, so Oliver will move to 4th if he reaches the final.
Tiago Fernandez has 862.50, so Oliver can't quite catch him. Fernandez will fall behind both our top two boys if he fails to defend his Australian Open title. Thiem and Veseley are also out of reach this week, but not by much.

Looks a very good win. And up to no 4 in the rankings
Clearly there would be chance for further boosts if he had entered the Aussie Boys plus possibly more importantly more experience in that environment but for whatever reasons he has chosen to go a different path.
I read that Liam Broday is playing futures in the next few weeks, I'm not sure what Oli is doing.

I've amended the original analysis. Making the final is still good enough for fourth, and he's still going to overtake Fernandez in four weeks time unless Fernandez wins the Australian Open.
ollie cant actually go 3rd, you seem to have forgotten he's defending 80 points this week
Eek, does that mean he's not up to 4 unless he actually wins the Final?
I'll answer my own question Osomec had already taken into account the dropping of the former 6th best score, so the net error was only 20 points, not 80 as I had feared. It's now been corrected above anyway, I see

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
(1) Oliver Golding (GBR) v (15) Bruno Sant'Anna (BRA)
It's Oli's to lose, a weak draw having further opened up thanks to the very dangerous Serb Milojevic retiring in the quarters against the Brazilian. Sant'Anna has no track record on hardcourts, so if Oli plays his best then he should secure our second Grade A title in succession after a long drought.
The final follows the girls (Mestach v Garcia), with the latter starting at 5.30pm GMT
