That's better. A loud "C'mon!" as he breaks back for 1 all.

A slightly shaky start but he holds with an ace for 2-1*

Think he's woken up (as they say in these parts).

I have to go out now - but 4-1 in the second - hope springs eternal (whatever that means)

Which he does (just)

The livestreams are appalling today - I have tried every one available, and they all keep freezing more than they are running.

I hate watching webstreams at the best of times.

Lost 6-2 3-6 6-2 bleh

What's more shocking? The fact that 8 men in the GB top 17 played today and 7 of them won. biggrin Or the fact that the one who lost was Muzza? confuse

Hmm, very strange.

I am sure I read he was having a hard training week last week.  Now, I know he is by all we know in the hands of real experts but I do sometimes wonder about the times Andy concentrates on hard training.  Guess this is "just" an ATP 500, but I do wonder....

He has suggested recently ( rightly or wrongly ) what I speculated back in the spring that while he might catch up on his form again his lack of work in the months after the Aussie Open could effect his stamina the rest of the year, and maybe he is belatedly trying too hard to find what's missing staminawise.

Hmm, speculation...

Hard training week last week? Surely he was at his brother's wedding?

All I can say is, just as well he has no more brothers to get married!

Has anybody ever told him that whacking his racquet on his shoes doesn't do the strings much good?

Ah well, Paris next week is more important - and more important still is the WTF. Fingers crossed.

Shame I spent the time watching - well, trying to watch - the match instead of gardening, though. I bet it's raining tomorrow afternoon.

In all fairness I did think Monaco played well today but Murray was very poor for much of the match.

I am increasingly of the opinion that Corretja's presence is not something that we should welcome.
