Boys & Girls: LTAT- International Junior Championships, Thailand - Grade 2 (Week 43)

Not a good start to the tournament as several Brits, including Evan Hoyt, Jonathan Cornish, Sam Hutt and Joshua Page all lost in qualifying. Lucy Brown was a finalist here last year, and is seeded to repeat that.

Kyle Edmund (GBR) v Rakshay Thakkar (IND)

Girls R1 (L64)

(11) Francesca Stephenson (GBR) Bye
(WC) Namita Bal (IND) v Katy Dunne (GBR)
(2) Lucy Brown (GBR) Bye

Kyle gets a good win over a similarly ranked opponent, but needs another to score any points. He has teamed up in doubles with the Australian Open finalist Sean Berman, who could in theory represent South Africa, Australia, New Zealand or the USA, but is currently listed as the latter.

Katy's reward is a crack at the fast rising German who reached the quarters in Osaka, but lost out to Eleanor Dean in the Luxemburg final

Katy Dunne (GBR) d. (WC) Namita Bal (IND) 6-2 6-1

kyle continues his hot streak, and dodges dodgy weather, quite a few high seeds gone, and his potential next opponent (4th seed) is tied at one set all

R2

Kyle Edmund (GBR) d (15) Wishaya Trongcharoenchaikul (THA) 7-6(4) 6-4
