George and Mathias won at least 6 points in a row to take the match tiebreak 10-5 and also make the second round, against Collarini and Sock (USA) who hammered the number 2 seeds 2 & 0

at least full concentration on dubs now.
Another variation on the most depressing phrase in British tennis cry.gif

It could, and did. get worse though:

Oli on Twitter: "I'm now officialy a dubs spesh"

I do hope he's joking! bleh

Yeah,  I think Oli was reported as saying if the doubles goes better at the US Open Juniors he may just concentrate on doubles from now on.

I think I heard from a friend of a friend that Oli and Neil Skupski were on the verge of forming a speciliast doubles partnership, but pulled out as they couldn't think of a suitable nickname. They had to drop their original choice of Goldski following the threat of yoghurt based legal action. I think it's true.

In keeping with the tradition of the board I'll christen the two teams Golly and Morgue (and hope that the latter doesn't precipitate an early demise of the partnership wink )

After three tight games, with Ollie and Jiri saving breakpoints it is

Golly 2-1*
