When I watched Ollie earlier in the year in Tipton futures, he was going for ridiculous low percentage second serves, which is what has probably happened here.
Looked a pretty tight first set but fell away rather in the second set, notably on serve.
Without seeing it I'm not sure one can tell that it was mental more than technical. Of his 8 DFs in total with 6 in the 2nd set, from reading above 6 DFs have come early in the second set to yes, gift a break back but i.e. not at a really vital tense time although would have been very good to back-up his break. Also on serve he didn't ace at all in the second after 6 aces in the first set and 1st serve % went down from 53% to 44%. So, serve has certainly gone off rather for whatever reasons.
I'm guessing Frank was slight favourite for the match, but it would have been good to have got closer, indeed well won the match.
But just wonder if some comments a bit harsh
Anyway, hope he can now repeat some of his doubles success from Singapore.
George for me a little bit disappointing. To me his gamestyle should be agressive as he has a big first serve, but his groundies, having seen him at Newcastle, lack the power I'm sure he has in his locker. Still lots of time for him, but needs to start making improvements, to avoid slipping behind the eight ball.
As for Olli again disappointing, but not worried about him because he has shown real progress this year, eventually I'm pretty certain will have a decent senior career.
