I dont know whats happening in instanbul and i dont care. She shouldnt tank here. For all we know it could just be a long flight to turkey and could well lose first round. I want her to get as mnay points as possible here.

Absolutely agree. I'd be surprised if Heather focussed on anything other than getting as many points as possible here rather than try to possibly be too clever by half.
If she is genuinely out, early enough to get to Istanbul qualies, fair enough....

British wins in qualies Carr(fairytale story- local girl only 14 didn't know she was playing at start of week), Borthwick(terrific match against Clarke which could have gone either way) was supporting Daneika and was following the match with her Dad and brother, Banos..., Hume( feel I recognise her but don't know where from) , Foster got in as LL sixth seed dropping out. Main draw rejigged slightly with Emily now playing Thomas as she is seeded 8. Rained most of the day so play was completed indoors. When I left Anna F was a set up against Mandy, Laine and Starr both won Emilys match being cancelled.
Thanks for the report. Good news for Emily then, given that she was down to play Barthel I assume that means Fedossova pulled out? Edit: you already confirmed that with "6th seed pulled out" sorry!

Pippa therefore follows Eleanor Dean's unusual example of gaining a point on the Pro Circuit before she wins one on the ITF Junior Circuit (though unlike Eleanor she had tried a few times). Pippa won a Tennis Europe under 14 event the week before last which will have boosted her confidence.

Latest Heather won straights (nowhere near her best) Emily won 6-2 6-2 (played well) Naomi won straights cameback from 0-3 in second (court too faraway to guage performance) Joss lost 6-7 4-6 ( back problem an issue)Fran lost 2-6 0-6( decent effort from the youngster, Mirza showed her class in the second)Pippa lost 2-6 1-6 ( too tired to give her best but what a great week, very nice girl as well) Matches started outside then went indoors now back outdoors.
Last update for the day Tara won very easily(score unknown not completely happy with her performance though),Hannah lost straight sets, Lisa beat Daneika 7-5 6-4 ( high quality match Daneika led 5-1 in first set and 4-3 in second from 3-0 down) so gutted for Daneika but definitely on the upward curve,Manisha just starting as I left, Jade/Anna won their doubles match.Spoke to Heather briefly who felt she played well today ,and also indicated that she will not be travelling to Turkey unless she loses tomorrow.
I'd be surprised if it wasn't a Tara Moore v Lisa Whybourne QF. Interesting match. I'll stick my neck out and punt for Tara on that. Then going out to "Hev" in the SF.
It would be nice if it wasn't a Mirza v Laine SF in the top half but that's where my imaginary money is. I don't think EWS is going to have much say.
Update from rainy Wrexham: Lisa won in straight sets (impressive) Heather won 6-2 6-3 ( workmanlike only Anna had 3-3 0-40 but couldn't convert in second set)Naomi 6-3 3-6 1-1( could go either way).
