Qualifying draw out and top seed is Adam (Fra). Therefore, Anna Fitzy had made the main draw smile

Just 3 ranked players in the qualifying draw, so certainly good opportunities for some to pick up a ranking point.

Given there were only 17 entries left in the main draw, the top 7 should have moved up.

However, the tennis forum thread said Isabella Holland (AUS, 419) had a qualifying wildcard and isn't in the above draw, so she could also have been moved to the main draw.

Think the mistake is that with 8 qualifiers and 4 WCs that just leaves 3 to move up to the MD on top of the 17 shown on the entry list, not 7 to move up   smile

There must have been at least one further withdrawal since 3 moving up plus 3 WCs ( other than Stephenson ) just gives 6, and Nionova is the highest alternate showing on the qualifying draw and she is 8th on the alternates list. 

Hopefully anyway, all of Moore, George, Thomas, Stephenson ( the MD WCs shown among the entry list alternates ) plus FItzpatrick, Elliott and Vickers are into the main draw.

this is going to be short and sweet. internet connection is costing me 500p per hour and I have to point the keyboard at the tv set to work the thing. arrived at wrexham yesterday and watched some quali action this morning(not terribly impressive i have to say) joko and pavlovic are late withdrawals.came back this arvo to see alot of the main protagonists either practicing or milling around. spoke briefly to lisa, heather, and heather,s mum. will keep you updated during the week. bye for now.

When is istanbul qualies?

I dont know whats happening in instanbul and i dont care. She shouldnt tank here. For all we know it could just be a long flight to turkey and could well lose first round. I want her to get as mnay points as possible here.
