Final GBR v France
The LTA has a brief report on the Italy match, with Junior Tennis Manager Martin Weston reporting:
"Kyle played an outstanding first & third set, hitting hard with total commitment. Far too hot for his opponent to handle. Luke fought hard and gave everything but couldn't find a way through an opponent who hit with too much width and pace."
"In the doubles the boys were phenomenal. It was a tough call not to play Evan [Hoyt] but Luke & Kyle had combined so well in Moscow that I had to do what the Italians wanted least."
"They created energy & intensity throughout the match, controlling the momentum. The level of doubles was very high. The boys have earned themselves a spot in the World Finals in Mexico by winning today. Fantastic."
France maintain their dominance though as top seeds, having won all their matches in the tournament 3-0, with both finalists in the European Championships to boot. Nevertheless our trio are a year younger than the French boys, and should be rewarded for their efforts here by a good seeding in the Junior Davis Cup
