Excellent run by James, who is our first Grade 1 finalist since Marcus Willis won the Canadian Open in 2008.

James told the LTA: "I played really well and served really well out there today. I've had a great tournament so I'm really happy with that and I just need to keep it up for the final.

"Something's happened with my game and things are starting to work now. I play Facundo Arguello next. I've never played him before but he's a really good player. He made the final last year which I watched so it's really good to have the opportunity to play against him. Grass is probably my best surface. I had quite a tough start but I've turned it around the last couple of weeks so I couldn't be happier."

Ace twitter report Marsalek won 7-5 6-3 and has been given a WC to Wimbledon smile.gif

Where did this week come from, he seems to have been playing very average all year and having been thrashed by Boggo at Queens he couldn't have had the highest confidence levels of even making the main draw, let alone winning the whole thing!
