BST is British Summer Time, which is an hour ahead of GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) which the UK uses in the winter. But like most countries France also adjusts its clocks in the summer, so it is always an hour ahead of the UK.
Indeed... I thought that France also adjusted it's clocks and also that we were on British Summer Time now. Isn't British Summer Time though it's just a word for daylight savings time, no? My computer clock says it's 5:10pm GMT. It wasn't 9am here when the tennis started in RG today.

BST is indeed just a word (or words) for DST, but GMT doesn't change when daylight savings comes in so your computer clock is actually showing BST, it's still just after 4.10 GMT.

But dst doesn't matter because we just change it back again as winter comes round, and also other countries such as France also have their own daylight savings time.
I'm really confused... why is this relevant?... there's still an hour between London and Paris, isn't there... it doesn't change when the tennis started today does it.

It matters more with America because they change their clocks one week later. During either Miami or IW (can't remember which one) the time difference changes from the first week to the 2nd.

That's right. I remember having to calculate differently for America during those times.
Soderling has just come through against Cilic, 6-4 6-4 6-2. Andy should be on in 15-20 minutes or so, around ten to six. Time to tune in!
Good news for Maddy, and me with my red button causing my entire sky box to shut down every ten minutes - Andy's match has been moved from the BBC interactive stream to BBC 2 main viewing!
Predictions, anyone? Winner and how many sets? I'll say Andy in four.

I reckon Berdych will take the first set, 6-4 maybe. I also think he'll get an early break in the second set.

Here comes the rain. Andy wants to continue playing! He's saying to Cedric "look at the court not the weather!" and similar statements. LOL the crowd are booing the decision to suspend play, maybe they like Andy consider the surface still fit to play on!

Anyone for red mud pies? They took so long to cover the court they have covered big puddles, and surely the covers will now keep the courts wet unless they get them off sharply when the rain clears.

Do you think Andy'll get in any more play tonight or will he be facing another run-over to tomorrow?! That'll be tough on him, twice in the event so far.

Gah... the red stuff!!! I spent days getting it out of my fingernails after Monte Carlo, and I wasn't even on court. The players must be covered in fine films of the stuff and washing it out for weeks.
