And the tiebreak goes Chela's way!

Andy needed that weather break as he is imploding right now.
Even if he can win this match I can't see him beating Baggy tomorrow.

Well, we've been back on for some time, and Andy has just taken the third set! We're into a fourth...

Incidentally, we interrupt this Murray match thread to bring you some breaking GEM news: Monfils has just lost his match.

Awesome run from Andy to get to a drop shot and win the point! Stunning!

Andy breaks early in the fourth set, and has ADV in the third game for a possible double break. But he loses the next two points in a row, giving Chela ADV. Back to deuce. ADV Andy once more. Andy dumps it into the net and is pretty annoyed with himself about it, crying out in sync with the crowd's sympathetic groan of disappointment. Andy dumps ANOTHER one into the net and the crowd cries out again! A tad sloppy here. A net cord goes Andy's way as the ball clips the net but then falls back towards Chela instead of over on Andy's side.

Tough tough match which shouldn't have been if he had only won that second set. Will need his best performance on clay so far this season to beat Baggy tomorrow.

I really think Andy would have won in straights if the match had all been played yesterday. Chela came out firing after every rain break (rest) and faded after play had continued some time.

Ah well, that's the way the cookie crumbles. Two tiring matches in a row. Best of luck against Baggy, Andy! (He may need it - the H2H is 0-2)

Ignore the second match in the head to head as Andy was just coming back from his serious wrist injury.

I thought there were quite a lot of postives from that match. I was wondering whether his current form is as good as last year

I think the 2nd serve is significantly improved and there was more aggression (and length) in his shots (compared to last year's FO) for most of the Chela match.

Sadly, I don't think he's given us any real sign that he's at the level that would have coped with something like Gonzalez's performance last year.
