Laura Robson said last year that she would not be entering Wimbledon juniors again, and this is confirmed on the entry list, leaving Heather, Oliver and George as the only direct entries.

dont really understand the reasoning here, as she cant play that many senior tournys, why not play junior grand slams

Last year the MD started on the first Thursday so clearly if Laura was to make any sort of progress through the singles or doubles/MD playing the juniors as well would be too much for her.

Expect big things from Oliver Golding this wimbledon, a generally good lad...

Also guys, new to the site but an avid tennis fan, who are the real prospects out of the junior boys?

the top guys to follow are probably (after Golding) George Morgan and Liam Broady who are both 16/17, and then from our younger guys Kyle Edmund and Luke Bambridge are two guys to watch out for

Ah okay. What about the 1992 boys? I seem to remember there was a very strong group of them? I visited the Division 1 County Cup at Bath this year. I was to be honest dissapointed with the abhorrent level of play. Most of our lads seemed to display a bad attitude. Some of the Surrey lads behaved in a better manner, from memory Joe Salisbury, Stefan Sterland-Marcovic impressed. What's the deal with those guys?

Best 92 boy is probably Jack Carpenter.

Last year I saw David and Matt Thomson, the identical twins born in 1991, at Wimbly (presumably in the Junior event).

Heather has withdrawn, presumably ending her junior career, so we will have no direct entrants in the girls singles. Lucy, Natalie and the Rens have all moved into qualifying, should they not be offered main draw wildcards
