Katy Dunne appears to have recovered from whatever caused last week's retirement. Another leading 1995 girl Katie Boulter has joined the British contingent.

Excellent win from Katie (who is one of our 1996 girls of course, not 1995 ) in only her second ITF event

(10) Mayya Katsitadze (RUS) v (Q) Pippa Horn (GBR) (5) Katy Dunne (GBR) v (2) Basak Eraydin (TUR)
Katy's record this year has been very impressive, with 2 tournament wins and 2 losses, one by retirement. Her Turkish opponent can trump that, with 2 tournament wins and no losses. She beat Pippa's opponent in last week's final, so tomorrow will be a big test for both. Pippa and Katy have also teamed up to reach the doubles quarters
I do think there is real promise from some 95 and 96 girls such as Katy, Pippa, Katie Boulter and Eleanor Dean. Nice to see Eleanor getting her junior ITF career going nicely in Montenegro after her notable senior performances lately.
(1) Nigina Abduraimova (UZB) v (5) Katy Dunne (GBR)
The top seed is very strong, ranked inside 500 WTA after beating Naomi Broady in China earlier in the year, and has not been troubled in this tournament yet so will start as favourite.
Further good news here is that we are guaranteed a doubles title
Doubles Final
Dunne/Horn (GBR) v (2) Arantekin (TUR) / Devine (GBR)
Just the one title for Katy, but an excellent week and a good competitive scoreline against someone who has already won a match on the WTA Tour and only lost 1 junior match in the 5 tournaments she has played in the last year. Katy will move into the top 300 as a result.
