You must tell us, Senorita Verdasco, if any of these events actually come to pass! I could imagine Fed and Raffa doing a publicity shoot but underwater? It would impeed the serve somewhat! A weird alternative theme park has got to be Eastbourne during the Ladies' tournament. Andy has come to sybolise British Tennis. No wonder he is broke! And if Nadal beats Andy in the Wimbledon final, feel free to choke him! Very entertaining.LOL

I hope not. Let's just say Verdasco wasn't acting very "brotherly" towards me in the dream.
When the Beijing Olympics were going on, I dreamt that a player got knocked down on the sidewalk in New York and run over by a car... and then I for some reason had to organise the wake! I had to break the tragic news all the friends and family, and then just before the wake I had to make the body presentable except it was almost completely crushed apart from the shoulders and head so I was trying to arrange the slack features into capturing something of the noble leonine quality they held in life... and then Rafa and Nole turned up to pay their respects and patted me on the back saying "there, there" but their comforting couldn't really help that much. I woke up from that one actually in a cold sweat, thinking it had happened for a split second.
More recently, a couple of months ago, I dreamt that it was all over the news that during the off-season Ivo Karlovic had had a terrible accident. He'd been on holiday somewhere in the Mediterranean and had a hotel room several floors up, and the balcony railing was really low so he just lost his balance and fell over it, and the news reel was showing amateur footage of him falling really slowly and flailing, and then saying that he was alive after the fall but dying in hospital and would be dead within a few hours so he was saying his goodbyes to his wife and family. That was a particularly weird one.

Lady T - whatever you are in the habit of eating just before bed, I suggest you change it!
Seconded
I don't remember! All these fantastical and amusing dreams are since about 2008, and dang are there some WEIRD ones in there. I very rarely get a normal tennis dream - such as dreaming that I'm watching a match. More often it's totally nuts stuff. One time, I dreamt that I was Jelena Jankovic and I was talking to Jamie... about Andy's debt problems. Yeah that was the same dream.
Anyhoo... back to reality... until the Pick'em starts, then back to frustration and insanity for two weeks. When does Queens' start?!

For some reason I thought it was 1st of June, because it usually starts in the first week of June doesn't it? Then I figured that it couldn't be that date because of Roland Garros this year... but then when will there be enough time for an exhibition week between Queens and Wimbledon? I'm used to my June looking like this:
I'm pretty sure Wimbledon very often covers 4th July, being aware of many references in previous years to its significance to Americans. So, I presume the tournament is often actually even later than this year.

No word yet on Queens and Wimbly qualies and WC's yet - other than Ancic has one for Queens I think. When can we expect the news on that! I'm getting antsy with anticipation!

Wimbledon ends on whichever day is a Sunday in the range 3-9 July.
If I remember right, the way the start date is determined these days is that the US Open starts a week before Labor day (which is the first Monday in September), Wimbledon starts 10 weeks before the US Open and Roland Garros starts 4 weeks before Wimbledon.

The entire international tennis calander dependant on an the date of an obscure American holiday? Surely not. But if you say it is Steven then you are probably right.
I always thought the calander followed on from the start of the tennis year in January which was sychronised with the official international week numbering so as to avoid clashes with other sports events. You live and learn.
There is of course an extra week every 3 months which I usually take to be the second week of the French and like Lady T, assume Queens is the first real week in June. Wimbledon always seems to run into the first few days of July.
