Josh can't keep Jamie out of the number 3 position for 2 reasons ( Only James can by winning at least as many matches as Jamie this week )
1) Any Bournemouth points he earns won't go on until a week on Monday since it is a Futures event.
2) He can't earn enough anyway. 18 points for winning the title would take him to 166 points, still one short of Janie's minimum total for this coming Monday of 167 points.
In the following weeks, Jamie has nothing to defend before Wimbledon. Josh has 67 to defend, starting with 17 a week after his possible 18 from Bournemouth go on ( that 17 coming off also means Josh still wouldn't pass Jamie even if he won both the Bournemouth and Edinburgh titles ).
I recognise the grass court season in particular offers more chances for Josh and he is showing better form so I really hope he does pick up more points than he will lose, just as I like seing all GB players picking up points.

Brilliant fight from Baker there - I can hardly believe my eyes when I look at the calcs, but I'm pretty sure he'll be back to GB no. 3 on Monday if Wardy fails to beat Ram tomorrow!
Yes, I'd been thinking Jamie was very likely to go to GB No 3 when James' Sarasota Challenger title points came off shortly but it's kind of crept up as a real possibility a bit earlier. Much as I like Jamie, it would be great if James responded with a shock victory in his match.
Anyway, I'd say he's stalled a little in his comeback this year but still progressing and with few points to defend over the next 4 months, it would be great if he would move up towards WR 200, which is the least we would really want from GB No 3, whoever it is.
By the way, I'm assuming your tweet "Amazingly Jamie will be GB No 3 unless..." kind of means taking account of all he's been through. Hope noone takes it the wrong way
Oops, I must admit I just wrote what I felt without thinking about how it might look. I meant amazing in the (good) sense that it still felt like he was halfway through his comeback yet he's already made it to GB no. 3 (for at least a day, in a 'virtual' sense) ... though it's also amazing in the bad sense that it's shocking that it's possible to be GB no. 3 without being in the top 250.

Thanks for the corrections Indiana - I didnt know that futures points went on a week later and I confess I hadnt checked the points on offer to Josh properly either!
Hopefully James and Jamie will push each other on this week and the next 2 - given it is so close between them.
Given all the points he collected in the last 4 months of last year I'd hope Jamie will be close to his career high by the end of July.
