Boys: Open d'Istres Ouest Provence, France - Grade 2 (Week 15)


Oliver Golding returns to Junior action for the first time since the Australian Open, and may wish he hadn't bothered, as his first task is to subdue the resurgent Carlos Boluda-Purkiss.

Tom Allen draws the top seed for the second week running, whilst Andrew Bettles enters the draw courtesy of an exempt gained through being part of the second place Junior Davis Cup team.

A good win for Andrew, but otherwise a very poor day. Tom's retirement gave Richard and Ashley a w/o in the doubles

With some of the discussions going on about how many of our seniors are performing, this unfortunately seems to have been a particularly bad week here for some of our top juniors with also no girls, singles or doubles, left in action cry

Pity they could not have been showing more positive signs this week.

Richard and Ashley lost their doubles quarter final, so all on Ollie and George in the doubles, and of course Andrew in the singles.
