For some reason the Uruguay Bowl was shifted from its normal place in the COSAT cycle to after the Copa Gerdau climax this year. As a result there are few Europeans left around, but Natalie Beazant has the misfortune to land in the same quarter as the best one here - top seed Ulrikke Eikeri from Norway. She couldn't have picked a much tougher first round opponent either - someone ranked inside 800 WTA

One of Natalie's best wins, considering the Ecuadorean reached a 10K final on clay in December.

I'm a bit worried I'm losing my marbles, so verify for yourself that the COSAT site has Nat winning 0 & 3 and facing Eikeri in the quarters.

Natalie has struggled against the top juniors, taking some hefty defeats, and that continued today
