Another good week for Jennifer Ren here would see her enter the top 100 for the first time. She shouldn't be troubled until the quarter-finals.
Boys R1 (L32)
(WC) Matthew Rossouw (RSA) v (6) Christopher Simpson (GBR)
Girls R1 (L32)
Francesca Stephenson (GBR) v (7) Ysaline Bonaventure (BEL) Joanna Henderson (GBR) v Yana Sizikova (RUS) (LL) Sarie Swalepoel (RSA) v Laura Deigman (GBR) (5) Jennifer Ren (GBR) v (WC) Madrie Le Roux (RSA)
Maximum wipeout for the hosts in the girls, even Fourouclas and Ive (N.B that's a name, not a lazily spelt contraction) losing--Ive had a tough draw. Well, the locals still have Rasolomalala, Razafimahatratra and Rufyikiri to cheer for, who have SA rankings so, I guess, operate out of the country.
And it's not just the locals cheering for Razafimahatratra. Come on Zarah, justify your new two-digit ranking and send the kid back to motor sport.

She plays Les Petits As finalist Indy De Vroome in round 2 LOL
Good chance for Jen now to reach the semis and hence the top 100 with the Madagascan second seed out of the way ..... and Indy had the last laugh against the other one
Boys R2
(6) Christopher Simpson (GBR) d. Antoine Fouche (FRA) 5-7 6-4 6-2
QF
(1) Hernus Pieters (RSA) v (6) Christopher Simpson (GBR)
Girls R2
Reka Muller (HUN) d. Francesca Stephenson (GBR) 6-4 3-6 6-1 (6) Katerina Popova (RUS) d. Laura Deigman (GBR) 6-1 6-3 (5) Jennifer Ren (GBR) d. (Q) Kriszina Kapitany (HUN) 6-3 6-0
A very good win for Chris over the top seed. However his next opponent is much stronger and actually higher ranked than the top seed, having won last week's tournament. Pavic won 6-2 6-2 when they met earlier in the year. Revenge tomorrow would take Chris into the top 100.
Boys QF

Who is Hoynaski?
Nothing in her ITF record to suggest a strong player at this level. She may be a quick learner though as Jen handed out bakery products to her last week, but struggled this. At least her semi-final opponent had a similar marathon.
The effort may have taken its toll in the doubles, where after a whitewash first set Jen's team lost to Jo and Fran.

A disappointing end to the week, with losses in singles and doubles (for Jo and Fran). Jen should scrape into the top 100 as a result, but making progress up the rankings will be much harder in Asia, where she goes next to join Jess, given the quality of the field there.

Indy went on to win the event and will thus move into the top 150 on Monday as the leading 1996 girl. Her ranking is similar to Laura's at the same stage of her junior career, though Indy is a few months younger (still 13)
