Boys: Aivaras Balzekas Memorial Cup, Lithuania - Grade 3 (Week 8)

Christopher Helliar has joined the duo playing in Moldova last week for another Grade 3 event. I guess that the w/o given by Dan and James in the doubles semi last week was to enable James to play qualifying here - something he has successfully negotiated.

R1 (L32)

Egor Gerasimov (BLR) v Christopher Helliar (GBR)
Joris De Loore (BEL) v Daniel Cochrane (GBR)
Yahor Yatsyk (BLR) v (Q) James Hignett (GBR)

R1 (L32)

Egor Gerasimov (BLR) d. Christopher Helliar (GBR) 6-2 6-2
Daniel Cochrane (GBR) d. Joris De Loore (BEL) 6-4 6-4
(Q) James Hignett (GBR) d. Yahor Yatsyk (BLR) 3-6 7-6(4) 7-6(1)

R2

(7) Vladyslav Manifov (UKR) v Daniel Cochrane (GBR)
(Q) James Hignett (GBR) v (3) Arturs Kazijevs (LAT)

Dan plays the last week's Moldovan finalist. In the event that both Dan and James upset the seeds they would play each other in the quarters.

The all-British quarter-final proved to be an illusion, as the ITF have reversed Dan's first-round score.

R2

(3) Arturs Kazijevs (LAT) d. (Q) James Hignett (GBR) 7-5 6-4
