There's no doubt in my mind she will go onto be easily our best player, but I wouldn't say she is at the moment. Remember Cavaday beat her a few months back.
While it was a good win for Laura, I don't think she played THAT well, Martinez Sanchez just didn't play that well at all.
Most of the Spainaird's serves were straight into the hitting zone of Laura and it was easy pickins for her as her opponent approached the net.
And it took until midway through the second set for Martinez Sanchez to finally start to take advantage of Laura's poor movement and play some drop shots.
Still a great win for Laura and that forehand winner in the run at 6-6 in the tie-break was simply incredible.
Sleep overcame me after that and I didn't bother getting up in time for the mixed doubles as I thought surely Andy would win and that is a very disapointing loss for him and if he can't keep his level going for three sets I'm not sure what chance he has over five sets in Melbourne.
