Has everyone heard about the korean boy Duck Hee Lee who knocked out the american number one seed in the under 12s. He's deaf and can't hear the ball on his raquet or lets. What a special story.
I see that Luke is now training at the Patrick Mouratoglou academy listed under rising players. Is this a rising trend amongst British players to use this facility as we know Naomi,Liam and Laura also use it. It certainly hasn't done Naomi any harm.

Good spot - here's a link to the story (scroll down to Tuesday's blog), which is a good read

Brayden Schnur (CAN) v (10) Kyle Edmund (5) Luke Bambridge v (WC) Alexander Sendegeya or (12) Joao Walendowsky (USA)
The first thing that strikes me about these junior events is the difference in standard between the top and the bottom of the class. Ryan didn't drop a game in his first four sets yet didn't win a game today.

very hard to gauge. They have been playing Tennis Europe events (few 14 year olds play many ITF events), and there is only one other European left in the draw (the dominant Serb Milojevic isn't playing). However the top seed from Vietnam has managed to reach the ITF top 500.

(3) Joseph Digiulio (USA) v (5) Luke Bambridge
Not too surprising that Kyle should lose as the American took out the Portugese fourth seed who has fared slightly better than all the British boys in Tennis Europe events.
For what it is worth Digiulio and Luke both lost by similar scores to Milojevic in the Les Petits As tournament.
Great to see a finalist in both the boys' and girls' under 14s.
Also good to see my theory ( hardly revolutionary ) of how much greater a chance we have of one or two players coming through if we start with a strong pool as we did in the under 14s here.
