The under 12 event is the first to start today, but British hopes mainly rest in the under 14s, where a strong entry includes our top quartet Kyle Edmund, Evan Hoyt, Luke Bambridge and Chris Pearce. Clay Crawford is the only direct entry in the uner 16s

Evan's narrow defeat was a disappointment. Tim Henman said he was impressed with Ryan Frankel when he won the Road to Wimbledon U14 title in August. Two double bagels is an impressive start, but the next match against a top Tennis Europe player (ranked 6) should reveal where he is at by international standards.
But it is a round deeper into the tournament and 5 out of 11 winning in Round 2 isn't too bad.
I just wish at a more senior level we had real depth and numbers to hit tournaments with. With a greater depth and numbers comes the much greater chance that more will get right through to the top both wihin individual tournaments and more generally.
