Andy's kit

Obviously had my head buried in the sand as I didn't hear any rumours about this -

Andy will be wearing Adidas kit from Jan 2010 starting at the Hopman Cup.  Has this been general knowledge for months?  Article posted on Tennishead site in the 'on Tour' section

It has been rumoured for a while. A shame to see the end of the Fred Perry line but I suppose they can't compete with Adidas in sponsorship, and Andy has to look after the pennies after taking a cut from RBS.

I hope they design something for him that suits him, I'd hate it if he looked like a Smurf like Djokovic did earlier this year.

£10m deal with Addidas...from times online

"The prince has new clothes. As Andy Murray strives to break down the barriers between himself and the grand-slam tournament title he so yearns for, it was confirmed last night that he has signed a five-year, £10 million deal with adidas that includes wearing a new tennis shoe called The Barricade."

The Guardian has it at £15m.  Any advance ?  smile

"Off the court, Murray celebrated a windfall yesterday as he signed a five-year deal, worth £15m, to wear Adidas clothing and shoes."

Andy has to look after the pennies. Lol.

With any sort of prudence he and the next 5 generations are set for life.
