What happened there. Was she tired ? Did she just lose her game ? Did she get nervous ?
Overall it's been a great 3 weeks for Laura but tinged with disappointment that she didn't see it through at the business end again. Clearly something she needs to work on.

Gutted we don't have an all British final but amazing to get 2 Brit girls in the semis, last time that happened was Wimbledon 2001 if I'm not mistaken with Keothavong and Baltacha.

Can't wait to see Heather make some progress in the senior tourneys.

Wow, Heather! After coming here with little tennis under her belt I honestly wasn't expecting anything from this tournament so to reach the final is a brilliant achievement.

Such a shame Laura didn't make it an all-British final.

You have to ask how Watson and Buchina went out in the first round of the doubles and then both reached the singles final.

Wow from Heather . Today's performances are just outstanding and if she can keep her cool I'd just make her favourite for tomorrow's match. I bet she wish she could play every senior match in her career at this venue. On this form it's a shame she withdrew from Shrewsbury because with a wildcard she could have done some damage in the main draw. A bit like Laura last year.

She's playing in the 50k Quali in that week I think so hopefully she can do well there.

Just had a look at the entry list for that tournament . It has a very weak field and Heathers' only 7 out of the main draw.

Having read reports about both matches it would appear that both Heather and Buchina were both just completely in the zone hitting winners and getting everything back. Should be an epic final just a shame we won't see any coverage. Laura only began to make errors at 5 all in the final set so not the same as what happened in the seniors.

Excellent for Heather who has a chance to step out of Laura's shadow, as far as media attention is concerned. If she wins she moves to no.3 as RBBOT says - the points in junior grand slams are heavily skewed towards winners (500 for a winner, 180 for runner-up). Heather won their last match at the Eddie Herr, but Buchina has improved since then and is looking to complete a British treble, having beaten Steph in round 1. The final is at 12 noon (5pm here) back at Flushing Meadow
