Well done girls...very well done. Piece on the beeb...it was first titled 'Robson into last eight'...glad to see they have not forgotten Heather...its now 'Robson & Watson into last eight'
Well done to the girls! I cant see anything but a Lertcheewakarn v Robson final really - they both seem to be ahead of the other girls atm, though I would love Heather for the upset (as much as I doubt it, perhaps her win at 10k level will give her some confidence) Laura could do well here, good luck!
There is supposed to be live coverage of Laura's match at live streaming tennis today but as it is going to rain most of the day it's anyone's guess when that might happen. I think this match is a potential banana skin as the American girl is undefeated in 38 matches not at Laura's level mind but still she could be an awkward opponent.
According to petch tennis twitter they are going to start the three main matches simultaneously on the 3 stadium courts at 2pm local time. As for the juniors' anyones' guess . The current weather is actually dry but with gale force winds. The forecast for the rest of the day is somewhat better than was given earlier today . Instead of a complete washout showers are forecast for the rest of the day with dry periods in between and the wind easing to what it was yesterday . Saturday better but still with showers and Sunday fine.
The main events have been put back to 3.30 (8.30 UK). Even that is not certain, it seems to be still raining in NY according to various webcams. Goodness knows when the junior matches will get on.
I suppose they could go over into next week?
Edit - even as I was typing they moved the estimated start back to 4pm.

According to ZooTennis both the quarters and semis will be played indoors at Sound Shore starting at 10 a.m local time. There will obviously be no live scoring but there may be twitter updates.
