The good news about that was he won, but not a very good performance, at least to begin with.
First set was pretty dreadful by Murray but from what I could see, he seemed to wake up a bit having gone a set and a break down (at which point the stream became almost unwatchable from midway through the second set)
Sounds like he got better as the match went on and Bennetaeu ran out of energy, but to begin with, Murray was allowed Bennetaeu to dictate the match.
There's no real reason why Murray should struggle with the wind so much given the amount of spin he puts on his shots and how rarely he does play flat, but it does seem to give him trouble, which is something that may need to be improved in the future.
The only theory I could come up with for 3 abysmal performances in the wind was that Andy likes to hit comparatively slow shots which can be affected more by the wind than driven ones. The adjustment shouldn't take more than a set though.
I suppose that is possible, but then it wouldn't explain why someone like Berdych or Soderling, who belts the ball as hard as possible, struggles in the wind which according the that theory wouldn't have his shots affected that much.
Today's first set could just have been the fact it was a relatively early match for Murray (midday local time) and Murray has always struggled to play well first thing in the day rather than anything to do with the wind.

My idea why may well be wrong but,I am convinced he struggles more than the average player in the wind.
