Andy starts off on his quest to become world number 2 against Jeremy Chardy, who is currently ranked 36.
This will be their first game on the senior circuit, Chardy is having a decent season, having won in Stuttgart and reaching the final in Johannesburg earlier this year. But he has not beaten anyone in the top 10 all season.
Chardy beat Yen-Hsun Lu 6-7 6-3 6-4 in the first round, although he did get broken 5 times.
Andy is on second on Centre Court, not before 13:00 local (18:00 UK time).
Nice warm up for Andy it would seem, can't see anything but a straight set win for Andy.
Elsewhere in Andy's section Monfils beat Safin.
Edit - Thanks Madeline

Chardy is a big server right? i wouldn't except him to trouble Andy.
I just cant take Chardy seriously i'm afraid and it astounds me how well he is doing now. WR 36!! i remember Boggo pasting 1 & 2 a few years back. Although Chardy did win their last match

andy 5-2 in the second set, a double break up. Mostly playing well within himself, upping his game if Chardy has a break point. Chardy completely unable to convert 0 out of 12 (or so). Chardy playing well at net.

Did Chardy have 12 or so break points? ... isn't that quite a lot? How was Andy's serve today?
It was 10. Andy's first serve was a bit rusty but there when he really needed it. As for the second serve, I have to say I couldn't see much improvement despite the fact they say they have been working on it recently - but I'm no expert, and I was only watching on a small and jerky livestream!
Didn't see the match, but sounds like a routine performance from Murray and he was never in too much danger.
Having to save 10 break points is perhaps the only concerning thing as he probably didn't serve as well as he could have, but he did save them all so it's not all bad.
Ferrero looked pretty decent against Hewitt yesterday, but Murray had no trouble with him when they met before so you'd imagine the same would be true, while Monfils is probably still getting back to fitness, so Murray should be moving into the last eight here.
