Following the European Junior Championships the U16 and U18s go on to the European Summer Cups with the same players as above (U18 girls not confirmed yet though) but with a third player added (Andrew Bettles and Jo Henderson in the U16s and Jack Carpenter in the U18s)
Is this a knockout? The format above makes it look like a team competition
It is like a normal knock-out tournament for each category except that entries are restricted to 2 for each country (4 for the host nation) and each pair is accompanied by a non-playing captain (thus preparing the way for the following week's European Summer Cups - where the emphasis is on the team rather than individual). The points for the Under 18 tournaments are like for a Grade 1 event but with a bonus for the winner and finalist.
