Well. it was a short lived experience, in which I shamefully spent half of my time with a camera in my hand, but it was a good experience all the same.
I must have looked like a crazy person going to get Murray's autograph at the end (not looking forward to seeing myself on Iplayer lol) - actually, I say autograph, not much more than a squigal - but I got it.
I'm now on the hill where the masses have descended from in order to scout his next opponent.
I am just getting more excited all the time, the semi is going to be unbearable for me to watch
Me too,- I can't make up my mind who to support in this other semi, I'm not sure who it would be better for Andy to meet.
A belated and for Andy, I really had to go and catch up on some chores after the match! I thought he looked a little flat in the first set, but dropping his serve at the start of the second seemed to act like the necessary kick in the backside, and from then on he played really well!
Routine victory for Murray and for a Grand Slam quarter final, he wasn't really pushed at all.
Didn't really get going until midway through the second set and once he managed to break back, Ferrero went completely off the boil and played poorly, so we didn't really get to see much of a contest.
Not sure whether Murray had decided to play a more aggressive game or the fact he looked tired forced him to do so as he couldn't stay out and rally endlessly for hours, but for whatever reason, it worked very well and he was hitting some good shots, and the serve was back to being excellent.
Not a great performance by Murray, but he did comfortably enough to get through to the semi finals, but he was never under any real pressure.
Roddick next which should be a test for Murray. The way he served against Hewitt was really good and he was hitting his groundstrokes as well as I've seen him do so for a long time. That said, I don't see him managing to beat Murray. I think he'll get a set, but no more than that, and Murray faces Federer in the final, which everyone has said would be the case from the off.
