Tomorrow, once again second match on Centre. with play due to start at 12.30. Maybe 2pm if it doesn't rain again?
The Spaniard is 26 years old and ranked #52. Year to date, won 12 lost 11, won Kitzbuhel but otherwise never got past a QF. Primarily a clay-courter, though he has won 2 matches here so far, beating Yen-Hsun Lu in the first round and Gilles Muller in the second. Once again, Andy would have to play pretty badly to lose this match, I feel.

I've always had GGL down as a better player on a hard court than a clay court and over the last couple of years, he has had more consistant results on hard courts than clay courts (and even this year, his best run on clay was at Houston which is almost a hard court anyway), other than of course his title in Kitzbuhl which was on the clay.
I guess the fact he is a not so well known Spaniard tends people to think that he's an out and out clay courter, which is definately not the case, and bizarrely enough, his best surface in terms of percentage of wins to matches played is on grass! (reached R32 of Wimbledon last year and has reached QF in Nottingham so can play on the surface)
That said, I can't see Murray having much, if any trouble with him. Maybe GGL could sneak a tiebreak if he puts down a load of massive serves for a set, but that's probably beyond him.
Murray to ease into the last eight here with a straight sets win.
(And looking further ahead, if he does get past GGL and then Lopez/Fish, his semi-final opponent would be either Steve Darcis (who Monfils gave a walkover to, who has won 1 ATP match all year before this event), or Juan Carlos Ferrero or Xavier Malisse, who must be loving the fact that the draw has opened up and they can roll back the years and have a good run at a big-ish event)

Only saw a couple of games but once again Murray didn't ever really look as if he was in any danger of losing.
Next round against Fish should be a bit of a step-up for him but still shouldn't be too much trouble as long as he plays well, and to be honest, nothing before the final should be much of an effort for him.
