I agree - in 2007 they changed from full third sets, but there was some variation between the slams in the implementation of the change. Now all of them appear not to be allowing full third sets at any stage in junior doubles

Actually you are right - I missed the fact that although Wimbledon adopted the match tiebreak right the way through to the final in 2007, they did relent last year and used full final sets throughout. So they are the only Grand Slam who used full final sets last time around. I guess that in 2007 the decision to go along with the trend was perhaps down to a backlog of matches.
Kristina Mladenovic won the singles final and will therefore take over from Laura as world no. 1. She has had an excellent few weeks on home soil, reaching the semi-final of a 100K event in Cagnes-Sur-Mer and taking Rybarikova to an extended third set in the Roland Garros main draw.
