Laura lost . The effort to come back from 1-4 in the 1st then not to win it and then take the 2nd 6-1 meant she didn't have enough in the tank for the 3rd when the points seemed to get longer. She won more points but 11dfs Next up senior Wimbledon

1 English GCSE...I know she is young but cmon, you could really pass that off a weeks revision, maximum, she had enough time while she was on her break IMO.... Its really easy to get an A/A* in.
Congratulations to Heather (and Timea) for maintaining British interest. Laura will lose her number 1 ranking unless Daria Gavrilova wins the title.
Gavrilova does win her S/F defeating fellow Russian and AO junior champion in 3 sets 4-6 7-6 (3) 6-2 to set up a final against Mladenovic of France who beat Sloane Stephens of USA 7-5 6-3. Daria will clearly have the crowd against her but lets hope she can prevail and keep Laura at No1.
