Honours are even in the head-to-head: 2-2, though none on clay (3 times on hard courts & once on grass), with Andy winning the most recent, the St Petersburg QF last year. I feared for his chances of beating Starace today. I'm even more apprehensive about this one...! I'm going to stick out my neck (I'm not really a betting woman!) & say that if he wins it (I couldn't watch it uninterrupted at work, but from what I did see during my lunch break, it took him quite a while to wake up properly & start to look interested!), it could well be in five...
* Just for the record, the one time they've met on grass so far was at Queen's in 2006 - & Andy lost...

Fourth on Suzanne Lenglen tomorrow, and the weather is supposed to be fine, more like Sunday and Monday were, which hopefully means the conditions will suit him better than Wednesday.

Now fifth on Lenglen! They've snuck in an extra match between Ivanovic/Benesova & V Williams/Szavay: the conclusion of NoDjo vs Stakhovsky (which for some strange reason the RG PTB persist in spelling "Stakhocvsky", just as they seem to think that, because the French name for the country of Jordan is Jordanie, the Aussie doubles player must be called Jordanie Kerr...! ), which was suspended last night with NoDjo leading by 3 & 4. Actually, that suits me fine, as it gives me a better chance of seeing most, if not all, of Andy's match after I get home from work.
It's all going nice and slowly in the Hanescu-Simon match. They're halfway through the second set, with Hanescu having taken the first. Bodes well for me being back home by the time Andy hits the court.
