Well played Andy

Andy was definately a lot more agressive in the second set, but to be fair he played well for the whole game. He wasn't amazing for all of the match, but he always looked like he would win which is nice to see!
35 unforced errors from Robredo which is really the story of the match!
Good performance by Murray and that is one of his best efforts on a clay court, but I was surprised how poor Robredo was (although perhaps dropping a set to Fish and Kiefer was an indication that he wasn't at his best) - he just made far too many errors and seemed to give up in the second set.
But Murray looked a lot more comfortable on clay than he has done in the past, and his serving and movement, which have often been the problem, looked better than it has done and he's looking more like someone who can play on the clay.
Wawrinka or Del Potro in the next round would be another step up for him and will test once again whether he can go really deep in the clay events.
I was able to follow the match during my lunch hour today so perfect timing for me and a very happy person sitting down to wile away another afternoon of work. Hopefully tomorrow's match is in the evening though so I can actually watch it!!
Great result for Murray, and I've just watched the Tennistv highlights and was really impressed with Murray's movement in particular, Andy seemed to be sliding and knowing exactly when the slide needs to begin in a way I don't think I've ever seen him do before. Really positive signs. Having said that, Potty will be another big test, no one can say (as they probably could in Monte Carlo) that Murray has an easy route to the semis.
Unfortunately all these positive signs are making me rather run away with myself and I'm now fully expecting Murray to be number 2 in the next rankings (Don't forget next week is the rankings list for the FO seedings, 2 is the only way Murray can guarantee being in the opposite half to Rafa - see way ahead of myself!!)
